Chance to save hours traveling to major airport TSA enrollment centers
In addition to the positive response airport officials have observed to the news that TSA Pre Check had arrived at the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, the fact that enrollees can complete the in-person portion of the enrollment process locally is expected to have travelers flocking to sign up.
“We are happy to announce that we will have several opportunities for our customers to finish the TSA PreCheck enrollment process here at our airport. Our customers can get fingerprinted and interviewed in a matter of minutes here where it might take them hours traveling to and from an enrollment center in a bigger city,” said Airport Director, Jim Elwood.
To begin the TSA Pre Check enrollment process travelers are directed to make an in-person appointment and find out how to apply online at www.aspenairport.com. Applicants must be U.S.citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs). A complete list of“disqualifying offenses” can be found on the TSA website:
Local opportunities to finish the TSA Pre Check enrollment process are March 11, 12, 13 and March 18, 19 and 20 at the airport.
Once qualified, TSA Pre Check travelers will not have to remove their shoes, belts or lightweight jackets or have to remove their laptops or small quantities of liquids, gels, and aerosols from carry-on luggage during expedited security screening in a separate, and likely shorter, security line at participating airports.
