Summer Transit and Parking Information

Aspen, Colorado – June 9, 2014 The City of Aspen will transition to its summer transit schedule in mid-June.  The appropriate information is listed below.

Aspen Free Shuttles

·       All free Aspen shuttles begin their summer schedule June 14 with extended evening hours.

·       The Castle-Maroon, Cemetery Lane, Hunter Creek and Mountain Valley routes will operate from approximately 6:30am-2am.

·       The Cross Town Shuttle operates from 8 a.m. -9 p.m. daily starting June 14.

Aspen Parking

·       Saturday paid parking takes effect on Saturday, June 14.  Sundays and holidays are free.

·       Free Night Out parking is available in the Rio Grande Parking Plaza from 6 p.m.-3 a.m. all days of the week.

·       Carpools of two or more adults may pick up a free carpool parking permit at the Airport Parking Kiosk on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m.  Visit www.commuterconnect.net for help with locating carpool partners.

·       Pay for downtown or residential parking quickly and easily via cell phone.  Visit www.paybyphone.comto set up a free account.

 

Bike to Work Day

·       Cyclists of all levels are invited to attend the annual Bike to Work Day event on Wednesday, June 25 from 7-10am in Paepcke Park: food, fun, education and prizes for the whole family!
