The City of Aspen has a large number of recreational-type vehicles sharing the roads and parking spaces. Aspen Police Officer Leon Murray says, "It is important to bring awareness about the rules of the road for recreational vehicles in an effort to create a safer traffic experience for our whole community."

The helicopter work on Smuggler has been delayed to Monday, June 21st
Smuggler Mountain Road from above the driveways, all trails on Smuggler Mountain Open Space, and the Hunter Creek Cutoff will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

In response to recent concern regarding date-rape drugs being used in the Aspen area, Response and the Aspen Police purchased 2500 Drink Safe coasters. This product, by Drink Safe Technologies, has patented testing patches which will react with a visible color change when they come in contact with a drink spiked with one of the major date-rape drugs. Each coaster, designed with the Response and Aspen Police logo, is a two test device. With a few drops from a drink, the test takes only seconds to perform.

on the design for Burlingame Phase II, which is planned to include 167
affordable, for-sale units.

The City of Aspen will be holding a public meeting Wednesday evening to
discuss the Castle Creek Hydro Project and a recently completed
environmental report on the topic.
The meeting will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m., June 16, at the Aspen Center
for Environmental Studies at 100 Puppy Smith Street.
