ASPEN – The Pitkin County Open Space and
Trails Board voted Thursday, Feb. 19 to recommend that county commissioners enter into a
contract to purchase 40 acres along the Roaring Fork River for $2,585,000. The
property has the potential to accommodate a long-desired bridge across the
river to connect the Lazy Glen subdivision with the Rio Grande Trail.
