Purchasing duties include:
procuring supplies, services, and construction at the least expense to the city,
obtain full and open competition on all purchases and sales,
- explore bulk purchasing options,
- secure the maximum efficiency in budgeting and accounting,
- endeavor to make purchases of recycled materials and other supplies that preserve the environment and minimize energy consumption for their production, use, and disposal.
