An Important Announcement/Change:
The 2011 Grant Application was due August 2, 2010
We are no longer accepting 2011 grant applications.
The following changes for the 2011 Grant Program are listed below:
PLEASE NOTE: The grant process for the various types of non-profits has changed!
Please be sure you read the information which applies to your organization.
ARTS & COMMUNITY NON-PROFITS ONLY:
- The 2011 grant application has been simplified and updated. Arts organizations and community non-profits will be using the same application. (Arts organizations used it for the 2010 grant program).
- PARTNERSHIPS ONLY must complete the 2010 Mid-Year Partnership Grant Report which is due August 2, 2010. The Mid-Year Performance Report has been updated to the “Mid-Year Partnership Grant Report”, which is ONLY REQUIRED FOR PARTNERSHIPS. The report has been shortened and simplified. Non-partnership organizations are no longer required to complete a mid-year report.
- A 2010 Year End Report will NOT be required (which would be due January 31, 2011) for any Arts or Community Non-Profit grant recipients.
- The City and County will be accepting requests from non-profits for “Biennial Funding”, which would provide two years of funding at the same amount each year. The biennial funding replaces the option for three year partnership funding for the 2011 grant process. Non-profits may also apply for annual funding if they so choose.
HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS:
- The City of Aspen will be working closely with Pitkin County to make 2011 grant funding decisions. In an attempt to streamline the process, we are eliminating the need for Health & Human Service organizations to send copies to both entities. Whether you apply for Pitkin County Only, City Only, or Joint Funding, all applications will be submitted to Pitkin County. Your organization will submit only one application, ten copies total, for your grant request(s).
- Due to the need to track specific information, you will continue to complete the regular application with performance measurement/service goal information. Starting in 2011, Arts and Community Non-Profits will be changing to a different application.
- FOR ALL PARTNERSHIPS: ONLY PARTNERSHIPS WILL BE REQUIRED TO complete the 2010 Mid-Year Partnership Grant Report which is due August 2, 2010. The Mid-Year Performance Report has been updated to the “Mid-Year Partnership Grant Report”, which is ONLY REQUIRED FOR PARTNERSHIPS. Non-partnership organizations are no longer required to complete a mid-year report.
- Your organization will be required to complete the 2010 Year End Report, which will be due January 31, 2011.
- The City and County will be accepting requests from non-profits for “Biennial Funding”, which would provide two years of funding at the same amount each year. The biennial funding replaces the option for three year partnership funding for the 2011 grant process. Non-profits may also apply for annual funding if they so choose.
